Denim X Off The Shoulder

This top from SheIn adds three of some of my favorite trends together: denim, frays, and off the shoulder. It has seriously become my summer go to because if I could be wearing denim from head to toe everyday and I would be a happy camper. I LOVE denim...in case you didn't already know. :) I think blue might be my all time favorite color now too. I have never claimed to have a favorite color because I like too many for different reasons and each color deserves to be loved in it's own way. Ya know? Well except maybe orange...we have never gotten along. Okay, I am done with my color rant. haha. I have just been enjoy wearing blue soooo much now, that it might become my favorite color, which for me is huge to admit. Anyhow, this top is on super sale right now, so don't miss out!

Has anyone else been basically melting in the heat lately? It has been so brutally hot outside, which has become my excuse for eating ice cream everyday. What are your favorite ways to stay cool during summer heat waves? 

Wood Watch

I honestly haven't ever been much of a watch person...especially with phones now days who really uses a watch? haha. But then I saw these beautiful women's watches, I knew I would love it and I really really do! I have gotten so many compliments on it recently too. It is super light weight and fits very comfortably. I thought it would take me awhile to get used to wearing a watch, but it really didn't. I love wearing it! It adds that finishing touch to most of my outfits because somehow I feel more put together when I am wearing it...yeah I am a weirdo. (:

I have still been celebrating my birthday...a week later. haha. I had a girls weekend in Chincoteague, and we had a blast at the beach. That little island has the coolest story, and the wild horses on beach was a sight to see! I am finally getting a summer tan too, so yay! Hope your week is going well so far! Xoxo!

A Promise

Today is the big day! This kiddo is having her no more chemo celebration at her doctor's office (I know I haven't share any part of that story yet because it all mostly happened before the blog, but maybe one day). We are super pumped! Motherhood has taught me so much, and I am still learning a ton...every darn day. haha. I am doing my best and in doing that I am trying to be more intentional with my time and goals. Social media can be super distracting, so I am making a mother's promise to my daughter as a sort of goal and everyday mindset that I want to strive toward.

I promise to always love you no matter what, and to love you deeply. I promise to be the shoulder you need to cry on, or just to be there when you need me (which will be forever...duh). I promise to put you and your father first because family always comes first no matter what. I promise to encourage you when things get hard, and to communicate to you that I believe in you.

 In order to help me keep this promise visible and as tangible as possible, Sansa (my daughter) and I did a craft together. She painted the letter's L-O-V-E and they have been put in her room above her bed, so every morning when I go to wake her up and when I tuck her in at night, I will be reminded of the promises I have made to her.

Stepping Into Spring

Spring is coming!! My pale legs are finally seeing the light of day. haha. With all the warm weather we will be having this week I am so pumped to be wearing these new Skechers from the Original sneaker collection. Currently loving these sporty jogger sneaks. They are the best for helping me keep up with my three (soon to be four-year-old...eeeeeek!) kiddo too. Layers are a necessity for spring because these morning and late nights can get quite chilly. A denim jacket is a staple piece, and goes with almost anything. You really can't go wrong with denim anything and everything right now.

This weekend I got to enjoy some family time. Lazy weekends catching up on TV shows are the best. Hope you have a wonderful week friends!

P.S. - what do you think about my straight hair? Yay or nay? I went to the hair salon this weekend and they blew it out straight. I haven't had my hair straighten in ages. It feels weird. haha

Bells and Lace

Basically anything with bells (bell bottoms, bell sleeves) have been my current weakness. If I can bring back the 70s I will. :) If you still have not bought a pair of flares you are missing out in life. They are so much fun to dress up or down and just lounge around in. I do love dresses/skirts a lot, but jeans are my jam and what better way to add a little bit of flavor to your denim than with flares?

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. My friends and I were able to take a day trip to NYC yesterday, and we had a blast! I was so happy to finally see all the Christmas decor. Talk about holiday magic. This time of the year is my favorite EVER, and being able to finally see the Rockefeller Center Tree made my entire holiday season, and lets be honest, my life complete.

Fall Feelings

Super Flares

So flares have made a come back, and you need to buy some if you haven't already. :) They don't have to be this wide (and according to my hubby crazy), but please do yourself and favor and buy a pair. They are just so flattering! My skinny jeans are not going anywhere because I love them just as much, but it is so fun to change it up. 

Also, funny story about these pictures. We pulled over when I spotted this field as we were on our way out to dinner for date night. Nick (my husband) left the keys in the car and didn't turn it all the way off and when we went back to the car it wouldn't start because the battery died. So we were stuck in the middle of nowhere with a dead battery. lol. Luckily kind people still exist and someone stopped and jumped our car. Life is always an adventure right?

I went to Vegas last weekend, and things have been so busy that I haven't posted about it yet. Hopefully soon! Hope your days have been filled with lots of good things. *muah*
