With it still being the beginning of 2017, I am starting to focus on what my goals will be for this year and for my blog. One word that I keep coming back to is simplify. With all the craziness (see my last blog post. haha) going on in my life, I feel like simple is what I need right now. One of the first steps I am making to simplifying my life is to make a capsule wardrobe. I have done a little research about it, but what really was the deciding factor is that lots of my blogger friends rave about their capsule wardrobes. So, I am going to give it a try this year and see how it goes. :)
For those of you who are wondering what the heck is a capsule wardrobe. It seems to be a trending topic, but I never actually knew what it fully meant until recently. It is usually a compact wardrobe made up of staple pieces in coordinating colors - with around 30 pieces that can include shoes. I am definitely not going to commit to thinning my closet down to 30 pieces at this time, but I think I can make it close to that number if I break it down by seasons (we will see. haha). I am committing to do my best with simplifying my closet because I need to budget better and not spend money on as many trendy items every month, plus I want to keep and buy items that I only love and will wear multiple times. I am so guilty of buying something and only wearing it once, or not at all even.
One of the first staples I am adding to my wardrobe will definitely be this vegan leather moto jacket from Tobi.
