Tillamook's Melty Fest at The Food Market

This week, I had the chance to attend the menu takeover at The Food Market to celebrate Tillamook coming to Baltimore. Tillamook is a farmer owned cooperative from Oregon that has been making naturally aged cheddars for over 100 years (wowza!) with absolutely no artificial ingredients. Where are my cheese lovers at? I just know y'all will fall in love with Tillamook just like I did. Tillamook also makes the creamiest, premium ice cream that the whole family is OBSESSED with. We recently finished off the rest of the ice cream we had at home, and I’m going buy some today because I’ve been eating it every night since Tillamook has come to Baltimore, and I am hooked. haha.

At The Food Market, I got to experience an amazing five course menu that featured Tillamook cheese. Remembering every dish, and looking at these pictures is making my mouth water. Everything was melt-in-your-mouth good! Boordy Vineyards had wine samples to pair with every course, and made the experience that much more delish!

My favorite part of the menu was this awesome warm pretzel sticks & beer cheese dish made by Chef Chad Gauss. Lucky for you guys, I’m sharing the recipe for you here (I can't wait to make this for the fam!):

Beer Cheese Fondue (they are normally served with their House Made Amish Soft Pretzels)

    • 8 oz. Tillamook medium cheddar, shredded
    • 8 oz. heavy cream
    • 4 oz. beer, Natty Boh
    • Shred the cheese. Reserve.
    • In a sauce pan, bring the heavy cream and beer to a boil. Whisk in the cheese until smooth. (Be sure to keep an eye on the cream because it can over boil.)

If you are local, I definitely recommend checking out The Food Market through August 2nd, so you can try all these delicious dishes yourself! Especial if you are a cheese lover, you don't want to miss this. Here is the Facebook event link.

If you can't make the events, you can find out where to buy this and other yummy Tillamook products online at Tillamook.com.

This post is in partnership with Tillamook.
